Terms & Conditions
These are the terms that govern a Seren Mont journey — what’s included, how booking and payment work, and what happens if plans change. We’ve written them the way we’d explain them in person.
What’s included
Each journey includes your accommodation, daily breakfast, one anchor experience per day as set out in your itinerary, and a vehicle matched to the tier you select. We arrange dinner reservations at the restaurants named in your itinerary, but these are bookings, not prepaid meals — dining is settled by you directly, at the table.
Flights to and from your journey’s starting point are not included. Anything outside the itinerary we build with you — extra nights, additional experiences, a higher vehicle tier — is priced separately and confirmed before you travel.
Booking and payment
A 30% deposit confirms your booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. If you book within 60 days of departure, full payment is due at the time of booking.
Cancellation and refunds
We understand plans change. If you need to cancel, the amount retained depends on how close to departure the cancellation falls:
- 90 or more days before departure — half the deposit (15% of the total journey price) is retained to cover planning and any non-refundable supplier holds already made; the rest is refunded.
- 60–89 days before departure — 50% of the total journey price is retained.
- 30–59 days before departure — 75% of the total journey price is retained.
- 0–29 days before departure — 100% is retained; no refund.
Because of this, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation. Arranging that coverage is your responsibility, not ours.
Driver requirements
The primary driver must be at least 25 years old, hold a full, valid driver’s license that they’ve held for at least two years, and carry an International Driving Permit for any journey outside their country of license issue. Individual rental partners may apply additional requirements depending on the vehicle.
Insurance
Standard vehicle insurance is included as provided by our rental partner for your journey. You’re responsible for any excess or deductible under that policy, and for damage that falls outside its coverage. As with cancellation, we strongly recommend personal travel insurance to cover the rest.
Liability
Seren Mont curates and arranges your journey — the route, the vehicle, the stays, the reservations — but we aren’t the ones operating the hotels, restaurants, or rental fleets we book on your behalf. We aren’t liable for the failure of a third-party supplier, for events beyond reasonable control, or for acts of nature. Where we are found liable for something within our control, that liability is capped at the total price you paid for your journey.
Gift certificates
A Seren Mont gift certificate is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. It must be redeemed toward booking a journey within that window; unredeemed value expires at the end of the 12 months and is not refundable.
Force majeure
Neither party is responsible for a failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control — natural disasters, war, government action, road closures, and similar events. If something like this affects your journey, we’ll work with you in good faith on rescheduling or an equitable resolution, within what our suppliers allow.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms in a way that affects a journey you’ve already booked, the terms in place at the time you booked will govern your journey.
