Privacy Policy
We ask for very little, and we’re direct about what we do with it. This page explains what Seren Mont collects when you use this site or plan a journey with us, why, and how you can control it.
What we collect
When you request a consultation, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your travel plans — occasion, timing, destination, and the details of the journey you have in mind. When you download a roadbook sample, we collect your name and email address to send it to you.
We don’t ask for anything beyond what’s needed to plan your trip or send what you’ve requested. We don’t collect payment details through this site — that happens directly with you, later in the process.
How we use it
We use what you share to plan your journey, correspond with you, and deliver anything you’ve requested, like a roadbook sample. That’s it. We don’t sell your information, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t hand it to third parties for their own marketing. If we ever wanted to use your information in a new way, we’d ask you first.
Analytics
We use Plausible to understand how people find and use this site — which pages get read, which journeys draw interest. Plausible is cookieless: it doesn’t use tracking cookies, doesn’t build a profile of you across visits, and doesn’t collect or store any personal data about individual visitors. We can see that a page was viewed; we can’t see who viewed it. We think that’s a better way to run a website, and it’s worth stating plainly rather than burying it in a longer disclosure.
Who we share it with
A short list of processors help us run this site and deliver what we promise. We don’t add to this list lightly, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
- Resend — delivers the emails this site sends: consultation replies, roadbook downloads, and newsletter sign-ups.
- Plausible — cookieless analytics, described above.
- Cloudflare — our hosting provider, which serves this website and handles the underlying infrastructure.
How long we keep it
We keep consultation and inquiry details for as long as they’re useful to planning your journey and for a reasonable period afterward, in case you return to us for a future trip. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless we’re required to keep something for a legitimate business or legal reason — in which case we’ll tell you why.
Your rights
Seren Mont is a Texas, USA company, so US privacy law is our starting point — but we extend the same rights to everyone who reaches out to us, regardless of where you live.
If you’re in Texas or elsewhere in the US
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and, where applicable, California’s CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data. We should say plainly: we don’t sell or share your data with anyone, so there’s nothing to opt out of — but the right stands regardless.
If you’re in the EU
Because some of our journeys operate in the EU (Italy) and this site reaches visitors there, we also recognize your rights under the GDPR: access, correction, deletion, restriction, and data portability. Our lawful basis for processing is straightforward — when you download a roadbook, that’s based on your consent; when you send us an inquiry, that’s based on our legitimate interest in responding to you, which we consider the same interest you have in hearing back.
Exercising any of this
However you’d like to reach us — to see what we hold, correct it, delete it, or just ask a question about this policy — email info@serenmont.com. We answer these ourselves, personally, and quickly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. We won’t make material changes that expand how we use your existing information without telling you directly.
